Can you clean up a file someone else set up?
Yes, and it is one of the most common ways we start. We review the account structure, reconcile each account back to where it last balanced, fix miscoded and duplicate transactions and document what changed. If the file is years behind, that work is scoped separately through annual and catch-up bookkeeping.
We use different software today. Can you move us over?
Yes. We build the new QuickBooks Online file properly, bring across opening balances and the history you need, and reconcile it before anyone starts working in it. The aim is a clean starting point, not a copy of the old problems.
Will I still be able to log in and see my numbers?
Always. You keep your own login and can look whenever you like. Some owners check the bank balance and open invoices every morning, while others wait for the monthly walk-through. Either way, the work in your engagement letter stays with us, and the file stays yours.
